What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic care is the detection and removal of the “misaligned” spinal segment called vertebral subluxation allowing the body its natural ability to restore health. There are many techniques Chiropractors use that include both force and non-force adjustments. Adjustment is the term used by a Chiropractor to describe the chiropractic treatment.
Dr. Striano uses both force and non-force adjustments and also uses reflex work, organ balancing and cranial adjusting to assist the body in returning to a normal function on the physical level.
You will complete a comprehensive health history and other necessary paperwork, including obtaining prior records and test results.
Physical stress is caused by either trauma or repeated bad habits. These include falls, bumps, bruises, auto accidents, sport injuries, poor postural habits (Sitting slumped, lying with your head propped up, sleeping on your stomach etc.), lifting improperly, and so on. Physical stress can cause a “misalignment” of the spinal segments thereby putting pressure on the spinal nerves leading to reduced function or giving symptoms. The most notable symptom is pain (Lower back or neck), however pressure on the spinal nerves can also cause a reduced function in your organ system leaving your body vulnerable to sickness or disease.
